Application Process
Thank you for your interest in staying at the Roosevelt Cottage in Historic Yorktown. The property may be available for a minimum stay of 3 months. It has a maximum capacity of 5 overnight guests, and parking for 2 vehicles. Please contact us first to find out availability before applying.
Here’s our our applicant screening process and what you can expect.
We accept applications from anyone interested in renting the Roosevelt Cottage, reviewing applications in the order in which are received. In most cases it will take up to five (5) business days to verify information on the application. If we are unable to verify information on your application, the application will be denied.
Complete Application
Unless joint applicants are married, each must submit a separate application. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Identification
Applicants will be asked to submit valid identification, including a photo ID before final acceptance. Government ID is preferred (for example: driver’s license or military ID).
Prior Rental History
Rental history of 2 years (if applicable) must be verifiable from unbiased/unrelated sources. Applicants must provide information necessary to contact past landlords. We reserve the right to deny any application if, after making a good faith effort, we are unable to verify prior rental history.
Sufficient Income/Resources
Applicants may be deemed ineligible to rent if the rent exceeds thirty-three percent (33%) of their monthly gross income. Income/resources must be verifiable through pay stubs, employer contact, current tax records, and/or bank statements.
Credit/Criminal/Public Records Check
Negative reports may result in denial of an application. Any individual who is a current illegal substance abuser, or has been convicted of the illegal manufacture or distribution of a controlled substance, or of a felony may be denied tenancy.
Submission of Your Application
You may complete and submit your application online, or submit in print form. Please contact us for further instructions.
